MONTREAL, March 27, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Fiera Sceptre Inc. ("Fiera"), the manager of the Fiera High Income Trust (the "Trust"), wishes to remind its unitholders ("Unitholders") that the Trust is due to terminate on November 9, 2012 (the "Termination Date"). This means that:
- Unitholders of record on the Termination Date will receive their pro rata share of the net assets of the Trust.
- Prior to the Termination Date, the assets of the Trust will be converted to cash to the extent practicable. Fiera may defer the Termination Date by a maximum of three months if all of the Trust's assets have not been converted to cash.
- Should the liquidation of certain securities not be practicable or should Fiera consider such liquidation not to be appropriate prior to the Termination Date, such securities will be distributed to Unitholders in specie, subject to compliance with any securities or other laws applicable to such distributions.
- Prior to the Termination Date, Unitholders will continue to enjoy quarterly redemption privileges. The remaining eligible redemption dates are June 29th, 2012 and September 28th, 2012(each a "Redemption Date"). Unitholders must communicate their intention to redeem to their respective brokers and investment dealers who must in turn advise the Trust's registrar and transfer agent at least 30 days prior the applicable Redemption Date of the Unitholders' intention to redeem. If the redemption request is received by such deadline, Unitholders are entitled to receive a redemption price per unit equal to the net asset value per unit on the applicable Redemption Date.
Unitholders are encouraged to consult with their financial advisors regarding the Trust's termination and the most appropriate option given their personal circumstances.
