New LEED Certification for Maestria
Fiera Real Estate and its partners, Groupe Devimco and Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ, are proud to announce that Maestria Condominiums (Maestria) has received the LEED® Building Design & Construction (BD+C) certification, demonstrating a shared commitment to sustainability leadership.
A renowned international rating system, the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design or LEED® certification requires that recipients achieve high performance across a range of key environmental, social and governance (ESG) metrics. As part of Fiera Real Estate’s commitment to sustainable investing, our global platform features several projects that have received LEED® certifications, Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (“GRESB”) Green Star status, BREEAM® Excellent ratings and other leading accreditations.
In addition to its sustainability performance, Maestria also stands out as Quebec’s largest mixed-use residential project. Located in the heart of Montreal’s Quartier de Spectacles neighbourhood, the project is comprised of two towers connected by the province’s highest suspended skybridge. With 700 rental apartments, 1,042 condominium units and nearly 65,000 square feet of retail space, this innovative space combines innovative engineering, local art installations and a variety of luxurious amenities to create a vibrant community hub.
Since inception, Fiera Real Estate has recognized its responsibility to integrate ESG considerations at all stages of its investment process in order to mitigate risks, capitalize on opportunities and create long-term value for all stakeholders. To this end, we have implemented a thorough framework of sustainable investing policies and practices and regularly report on our progress towards key targets. We are also proud to participate in a variety of global initiatives and partnerships that aim to address sustainability challenges in the asset management and real estate industries.
