Amit Gupta

Amit Gupta serves as Global Head, Real Estate Debt, overseeing Fiera’s real estate debt strategies across Canada, the United States, Australia and New Zealand.

Amit is actively involved in investment management, portfolio construction and capital raising across these strategies. He is a successful global credit investor with more than 34 years of experience deploying capital across public and private credit, corporate and real estate debt, distressed and high yield credit, and senior lending strategies. He has built private lending businesses in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, India and China.

In 2001, he co-founded Clearwater Capital Partners, one of Asia’s pre-eminent credit investmentplatforms, which Fiera acquired in 2018. Previously, he spent nine years in credit analysis, investing and lending at Goldman Sachs, Peregrine Fixed Income and ICICI.

Amit holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications with Honors from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. He is fluent in English and Hindi and based in Boston.
