Alex Williamson BA

Alex joined the firm in March 2019 as Vice President, Legal and Compliance and is currently the General Counsel for Fiera Capital Europe. Prior to joining Fiera Capital Alex was at Man Group for 10 years where he headed the legal team advising the FRM investment division (focusing primarily on fund-of-funds and managed accounts). As part of this role Alex negotiated a variety of bespoke client agreements and advised on the structuring and launch of a range of investment products domiciled in a variety of jurisdictions. He was also appointed as Director to FRM’s FCA regulated management entity. Prior to Man Group Alex spent 2 years as legal counsel at Barclays Global Investors.
Alex holds a BA in History from Birmingham University, a Graduate Diploma in Law from Nottingham Law School and the IMC.
