Fiera Capital Commits to Female Leadership and Obtains Bronze Parity Certification from Women in Governance

March 8, 2023 – In 2021, Fiera Capital undertook an extensive process to assess our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policies and practices, and to establish an ambitious roadmap to support our vision to cultivate an inclusive, safe and trusting work environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging.

Today, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, we are pleased to announce that Women in Governance has recognized our commitment to gender parity and our objectives for achieving it by awarding us the Bronze Parity Certification in both Canada and the United States, marking a significant cross-border achievement.

This achievement represents an exciting milestone in our ongoing DE&I journey and aligns with our objective to increase women in management positions by 45% in 2026. We remain strongly committed to supporting women’s leadership within our firm and look forward to using the Parity Certification as one of several tools to help measure and guide our continuing efforts.

“Because we believe any change we make must be sustainable, our efforts are focused on being purposeful in our approach so that we can truly embed diversity, equity and inclusion into the fabric of our culture,” said Lyne Lamothe, Global Chief Human Resources Officer. “While we still have work ahead of us to achieve our vision for DE&I at Fiera Capital, we are proud of the progress we have made over the past few years thanks to the passion and tremendous contribution of all the employees who have joined us on our journey.”

What is the Parity Certification?

Launched in Canada in 2017 by Women in Governance, the Parity Certification aims to support organizations working towards equality between men and women in the workplace while accounting for the multiple impacts of diversity in women’s career advancement.

The Parity Certification helps organizations assess their current gender parity status and provides an analysis of strengths and opportunities as well as recommendations to close the gender gap.
