The Fiera Canadian Equity Team is proud to publish their 2025 Sustainable Investing Report, showcasing the tangible evidence that their holdings have made on their sustainability progress.
In our previous Sustainable Investing Report, we described 2024 as a year when the foundation of the sustainable investing movement had begun to show signs of strain. It’s difficult to describe 2025 as anything other than a further shaking up of this foundation. When sustainable investing is seen as a politically polarized topic, the pendulum of momentum can swing back and forth with changes in governments. This has raised questions around the importance of sustainability in investing. Progress on integrating sustainability factors into investment decisions and meeting sustainability commitments was not likely to be a linear or smooth process, especially as we get closer to 2030 when many of the sustainability targets set by companies come due.
