Michael Lavigne MSc, FRM, CIM

Michael is the Global Head of Trading at Fiera Capital, where he leads trading operations across the firm’s global platform. In this capacity, he oversees the full trade lifecycle from order generation to post-trade analysis across asset classes. Mr. Lavigne also leads the design and advancement of Fiera’s trading systems and front-end architecture, oversees key broker and counterparty relationships and is responsible for platform oversight and support across the firm’s Public Markets division. He also works closely with clients to deliver customized trade implementation strategies that align with their investment goals.

Mr. Lavigne brings over 15 years of experience in the investment industry. He joined Fiera Capital in 2016 and was Quantitative Portfolio Manager before assuming his current leadership role. Prior to Fiera, he served as Associate Manager at an investment management firm, where he developed and managed a suite of quantitative strategies. 

Mr. Lavigne holds a Master’s degree in Financial Economics from HEC Montréal and has earned both the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Certified Investment Manager (CIM) designations.
